Job Summary

We are looking to expand our field sales network with dedicated Regional Sales Consultants in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. In this high level consultative role, the Account Manager's objective will be to increase revenue and gross profit focusing on the small to mid-sized corporate customer while expanding our business' market presence. The ideal candidate will be a successful sales professional who wishes to maximize earnings from a range of easy-sell b2b products and services. You will be responsible for generating your own leads and systematically developing the repeat business in your region through field visits, leaflet drops, and telephone work. This position has unlimited earning potential.

Essential Job Description

  • Actively solicit new business customers through various external contacts (cold calling, telephone, email, mail, trade shows and referrals); develop territory or business base to maximize new customers and/or expand product mix offered to existing customers
  • Penetrate accounts with a Top Level Contact/Decision Maker
  • Conduct basic site surveys
  • Develop and present contract proposals that address client's needs
  • Effectively present Datix Support/Maintenance packages
  • Respond to RFP’s and other information requests in an effort to secure a sale
  • Forecast Sales/Manage Pipeline of new opportunities
  • Follow-up on current accounts that are in your developed pipeline to ensure sales are closed in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding offering desirable products to the marketplace.
  • Keep abreast of changing trends and product developments within the technology industry
  • Provide weekly report of sales activities

Job Responsibilities

  • Selling Datix’s complete line of technology solutions (Back-Up & Recovery Solution, ERP, systems/peripherals, servers & storage, networking, security, software licensing/software solutions, and managed & professional services)
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings with prospective customers to determine products/services needs
  • Developing and managing new accounts (personally generated) while maintaining and sustaining successful long-term relationships with key decision makers up to and including the "C" level (CEO, CIO, CFO, etc.)
  • Organizing and conducting executive briefings
  • Developing, maintaining, and leveraging strong relationships with OEM Partners and distributors (i.e. HP, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, etc.)
  • Meeting and exceeding sales goals while being responsible for overall account strategy development
  • Negotiating price, selling to customer needs, managing processes, and developing budgets
  • Ensuring successful delivery of revenue, GP and other financial targets specific to the assigned accounts
  • Developing customer presentations and creating sales proposals and responses to RFP'S, RFQ'S, and RFI'S (Requests for Proposals, Quotes and Information)
  • Maintaining sales records and preparing sales reports as required
  • Developing knowledge of OUR CLIENT's practices, products, and services to facilitate successful sales efforts
  • Developing market and competitor knowledge

Job Requirements

  • B2B sales experience; preferably in technology solution sales
  • Strong English language skills (spoken & written)
  • Ability to handle a wide product range & assimilate a basic level of technical detail
  • I.T. hardware and software product knowledge (Experience with managed and professional services a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to close business in a timely manner
  • Strong cold-calling and negotiation skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and self motivated
  • Consultative/Solution selling skills
  • Self-starter with a serious and professional work ethic, self-discipline, persistent with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of an organization

The successful candidate must have a strong background in professional direct sales, is an expert in cold calling and prospecting new accounts, and can capitalize on the extensive opportunities for Datix’s products & services. Must be able to demonstrate a successful selling history in a high activity, transactional sales environment. Strong analytical, time management, problem solving, prioritization, and planning skills are also a requirement.

Our compensation program includes a base salary and a highly lucrative commission plan.  The earning potential for this position is unlimited!
